But while The Half Door won’t be around for St. Paddy’s this year, Connecticut has plenty of Irish pubs and restaurants to enjoy on Stamford Connecticut likes to get the St Patrick’s Day celebrations started early. This year they are hosting their St Patrick’s Day Parade on March 2 this year. Stamford has a surprisingly large Irish population that dates back to the 18th and 19th century.
